Art making helps me make sense of my life and the world I live in. Doing art is how I express my love and hope for the future. Through art I explore the interconnectedness with all life. What I do is a reflection of my heart’s experience making itself visible.

Using the medium of monoprinting, I draw from the dream and the dream draws from me. The stories and the art I reach for are also reaching for me. Together in partnership we create a visual story that is relevant to me right here, right now, and is also relevant to the larger community. My work has a playful depth. It invites a dialogue with our animal nature. I have carefully built and arranged my working studio to be a receptive and safe environment for exploring and experimenting with printmaking and other art forms, including writing and Story Art. I have deliberately created a dynamic space for teaching where creativity can flourish.

In the past 30 years I have honed myself as an artist and visual story teller to take great care and responsibility with what I create. In the past 10 years my art has deepened.  I stay connected with a larger community through my Art Lifts Postcards and Musings sent by email. My choice is to create beauty in a harsh world- no matter what. My belief is that art lifts and has the ability to change lives and make a difference in our world.

My personal objective is to envision and create work that is life-affirming. I attempt to be in a dialogue with the Mystery. It is an attempt to trust what my heart and soul know on a molecular and instinctual level.
